Bonjour, I’m Luba, a Franco-American twenty-something who packed her life into two suitcases and moved to France in 2023.

After going back to America for a few months and wondering what I’d do next, I met a French guy online who felt like home.

Unlikely? Yes. But life is crazy sometimes.

My sister was convinced he was a human trafficker, but I flew 3,500 miles to meet him anyway.

Yes, it could have gone spectacularly wrong.

But it didn’t.

Somehow, I knew we’d get married one day.

And somehow, I was right.

We’re getting married in April 2026!

And we’re renovating a 19th-century house in the French countryside that has exposed beams and a fireplace and a huge apple tree in the backyard.

Here on the blog, I’ll be sharing my love for French fashion, personal experiences, and musings on life in France — all from the perspective of an expat who doesn’t really fit in anywhere.
